Beginning TIG Welding

The aim of this project is to have a finished Airstream, but just as importantly it's a catalyst for learning skills I've always wanted to develop, and welding is quite high up the list.
It's going to take structured practice and seat time to become competent with the TIG welder but I've made a start with the most basic setup I could get away with. The only splurge was the excellent Optrel helmet, because being able to see what you're doing makes a huge difference.
I went for a beginners course for some in person tuition and since then have been following an online course and practicing with simple welding coupons. I've also managed to make a couple of things I needed at home, which has been immensely satisfying.
By the time I get to building out the interior of the trailer I should have enough skill to make what I need to make. Fingers crossed.
