Honda NSF100R
Details
I need a lot more seat time than I can get doing track or coaching days, and have a lot of basic foundational things to work on. The solution is a smaller GP bike that can be ridden at a kart track with far greater convenience and far, far lower cost. $45 for the track. $5-10 for fuel. $0 for tires. This is where the little Honda comes in. It’s going to pay for itself in no time at all.
The first session yesterday has proven the hypothesis. There is nothing I need to work on — from body positioning and lines, to throttle timing and trail braking — that I can’t improve on this fantastic little bike. If I can get to the track every other week, I should be a faster, more relaxed, and fitter rider in a few months. Time will tell.
