Brembo brake disc clock

Many motorcycle parts are beautiful engineering marvels, including the floating brake rotors (discs) that Brembo make for my Honda. When I restored the bike and the worn brakes needed replacing I decided to keep them and see if they’d look good as a clock surround.

Starting with the rotor itself and a basic clock mechanism from Amazon, I modeled those parts in CAD then designed a center piece that would hold everything together in the right place. Once that was done I sent the CAD file off to a machine shop to be milled, it showed up in the mail a couple of weeks later and all I had left to do was tap the holes to mount the disc, spray the second hand Orange to color match it to the Honda, and hang it on the workshop wall.
